Market Basket 2019 Terms & Conditions
Welcome Market Basket members!
Please read the following document carefully and then click “I agree” on the Farmigo page when finished. These are the guidelines that keep our program running smoothly, and you will be responsible for knowing them.
Our Market Basket program is based on mutual respect between the customers, Schenck Foods Company, farmers, and artisans. Subscribers pay in advance for the food they will receive, reflecting the risk that farmers take to plant, tend, and harvest crops and/or produce artisan items.
We use a web-based software program called Farmigo to manage the financial interactions between our customers and our business. This allows Schenck Foods Market Basket subscribers to have online access to their own accounts.
BOX SIZES AND VALUES
We offer two box sizes for your convenience: Half is valued at $30, and Full at $40. Your subscription size is that size for the entire season, and optional shares (prices vary) are yours for the season, these cannot change once the choice is made. You may, however, make purchases for additional product(s) through the web store when available.
INCENTIVES FOR LONG TERM COMMITMENT
We provide a benefit for subscribers who make advance payments at signup. All bonus credits will be issued only after the final payment has processed. For payment in full at sign up, you receive a $25 credit to our webstore.
Schenck Foods Company will publish a regular e-newsletter. Any holiday changes will also be noted in the Farmigo banner. It is your responsibility as a Market Basket member to read the newsletter. Your email address will be entered into our MailChimp email contacts under the Market Basket subset. By agreeing to join our Market Basket, you are also agreeing to open and read email communications from us including:
PAYMENT DUE: All billing issues regarding your account will be emailed to you, including startups and notice of suspension of service.
UPDATES: You may also receive specific emails announcing important changes to our service. We recommend that you read our emails as soon as you see them. Please add firstname.lastname@example.org to your address book to protect our communications from spam filters.
HOLDS and VACATIONS: If you can’t pick up your box on a given week, why not tell a friend to pick up your box while you’re gone? If you will be away, you will still be responsible for the cost of your Market Basket. Why be charged at all? Though you’re leaving, our farmers still have produce for you that will get left in the field.
SUSPENSION OF SERVICE: Your box will not be available for pickup if you do not have money in your account to cover the price of the box. If we don’t receive a timely payment from you, you will receive an email letting you know that your service has been suspended. Restarting your box delivery often takes several days, as the lists are made in advance, so please check in with us if you are unsure of your pickup. We do not hold your box if it shows there is a payment already processing.
CANCELLATION: To cancel your Market Basket subscription, please contact email@example.com. Upon cancellation, there is a penalty of $250 dollars. If you were on an installment plan, and had remaining payments, those will be cancelled and not processed. If you paid in full or had paid all installments, you will be given a prorated refund for the remainder of the season less the $250 penalty. If your prorated refund ends up being less than the $250 penalty, you will pay the full $250 penalty.
If you believe you deserve a credit for poor quality, damaged, or otherwise unusable produce, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will evaluate cases individually. Be sure to include what day/time you picked up the produce, and how it was stored.
Return your boxes upon your next week’s pickup, and do not fold boxes down. Boxes that are damaged, lost, or not returned upon following pickup will require purchase of a new box at $12 at time of pickup. When a box is not brought back or lost, it requires us to use a brand new box for you, to fill your next order.
We encourage your feedback about box quality and contents (good or bad!) by emailing us at email@example.com. Please be sure that you include your full name, and your email address login, which you used to create your online account, on all correspondence. For any quality issues please indicate the date that you picked up your box and how it was stored.
GLASS BOTTLES: Our milk shares have an initial $2 deposit per bottle, required when you pick up your first glass bottle(s). When you pick up your next bottle of milk, that $2 is transferable to that bottle. If you come to pick up your milk and do not have a bottle to return, you will be charged $2 at time of pickup, to be paid by cash or card.
We must be notified by email at firstname.lastname@example.org on MONDAYS before 8AM for any late pickups, and we are unable to hold boxes past Wednesday. Any boxes that are left without notice, after Tuesday, will be considered forfeited and no refund will be given. Your empty box will still be yours, and you will not be charged for another box.
Initialing for your box upon pickup confirms that you were happy with the quality of goods at time of pickup.
